Well said. Not only is it futile, but just the thought of someone jumping at the bit, loading some of my '06 loads in a low numbered 1903 Springfield is downright spooky.

Shortcutting load work up and development of safe, accurate ammo is not only unwise, it's also a recipe for disaster. Do it right. Each rifle "likes" it's own, unique combination of powder, case, primer, bullet, OAL, etc. One size does NOT fit all.
