(30-06 load) 200gr nosler partion, 57gr IMR 4831, rem brass, 215m fed primer
The load came form a speer number 7 manual, it disapeared from their books with the number 12 manual.
I started shooting this load with my hunting partner about 1986. My rifle is a steyr model M prohunter with the Cycolac (plastic) stock, 23.5" barrel, and detachable mag.
The load crony's just shy of 2700 fps, groups around 3/4". In this gun there are no pressure signs and my hunting partner shoots the same load in a rem custom shop 700 Ks mountian rifle, without signs of pressure. Have reloaded the brass upto 6 times.
The 200gr nosler flies very well, in this load at 300yds it equals 210 gr. 338 nosler which started at 2900 fps faster, but most likely in a lighter gun.
