The only way for a market based system to work (which, if permitted, would reduced medical costs astronomically) is to rid the system of every component standing in the way of the patient knowing the price of every service during the price-bargaining stage. Absent that, prices will skyrocket. It's as certain as a mathematical theorem.
That, and getting all the medical "organizations"(AMA, AHA, pharma, etc.) out of the government. They successfully lobby to get the government to limit supply.
