First I've heard of it. The only .45Colt load I sent was loaded with the 360gr from CPBC and it did NOT deform in my tests but the .44 still beat it, if only by an inch or two. The 330gr Beartooth .44 beat every other load he tested. In fact, the .44 did better than the .45 across the board. You could've asked me but no.....

I tested ONE .45Colt bullet that deformed and that was the 335gr from Leadhead's, which I bought on Jack's recommendation. When I saw that it deformed in my tests, I ordered the same bullet from CPBC and had them FedEx'd and retested it. The only one of my heavy .44 or .45 loads that flattened and was included in the results was the 310gr .44cal Oregon Trail TrueShot and it still penetrated well.

I guess you should call Mike Rintoul and tell him his bullets are too soft.
