Looks to me like several of the bullets compressed and widened the meplats, in my book that is deformation

All testing aside I know that Hawk1, DocRocket, Whitworth, myself and others have shot enough game with the 44 & 45 to know that with like bullets the 45 makes larger holes on game.





The 4th & 5th bullets from left are the exact same bullets, both are 525 grain .510 bullets one fired from a 500 Linebaugh @1091 FPS the other fired from a 50 Alaskan revolver near 1600 FPS into wet print. The faster bullet compressed and did not out penetrate the slower bullet that maintained its form..
