And I agree on the angels dancing on the head of a pin, which is all this argument amounts to. Where I would take exception, and this is a hypothetical, would be if you stated that your .45cal 325gr Beartooth LFN was somehow more effective than a .44 bullet of similar design, similar construction and similar meplat diameter. Because that is exactly what 'some' here are saying. Despite the fact that there are .44 and .45 bullets the same weight, with the same meplat diameter, that can be driven to the same velocity (or higher).
And you're right about the penetration and how it applies in the real world. However, my point on that is that 'some' have claimed that the .45 penetrates better, regardless of shape, weight or meplat and the testing shows this to be false.
