To my understanding, the magazine box of the Seven and the 700 are exactly the same as they come from the factory. What will fit one, will fit the other.
The shorterness of the Seven is in the rear bridge, not the box.
I may have misspoke so I apologize, but my point was that there are some constraints with the model 7 that are not there with a 700. I'm pretty sure you can't put a Wyatts in a Mod 7.
