I always thought it was funny when June Cleaver would dress to the nines, hair salon-perfect, to do her house work.

That said, I see nothing wrong, and a lot right, with the traditional American family structure of the wife/mother being the primary home maker and child rearer (an awesomely important role in both the family and society), while the man is the primary bread winner and disciplinarian. Call me a sexist if you must, but that seems most in accord with nature to me.
