Just shot some 200 Woodleighs today with 47gn of 8208. Shot well at 2.73”. 2655 FPS. That’d be a great elk load.
You are shooting a 22" barrel, right?
Just trying to anticipate what velocity I can expect from 24".
Mine is a 23" Pac Nor barrel. Primers are nice and round, no other indicators. The Hodgdon book load for a 200gn Hornady is 47 and 2657 with a 24" barrel so I think I'm in the ballpark pressure-wise. I chose to stop at 47 based on the book load.
