You are shooting a 22" barrel, right?

Just trying to anticipate what velocity I can expect from 24".


Mine is a 23" Pac Nor barrel. Primers are nice and round, no other indicators. The Hodgdon book load for a 200gn Hornady is 47 and 2657 with a 24" barrel so I think I'm in the ballpark pressure-wise. I chose to stop at 47 based on the book load.


Wise. I'll likely work up from 45 to 47 and stop there. 2700 would be nice, but chasing FPS can be a fool's game. I'm hoping for MOA, but we'll see...

Speer lists 46.4gr 8208 as max for the 200gr Hot-Cor @ 2630fps, BTW.
