Tell them they should go with the 250-3000 necked up to 6.5 with a 30 degree shoulder.....much more superior...
Having said that I just pulled a 6.5-06 barrel out of the four jaw....should be fun and gives this long action McMillan a job.
There's a couple of young fellas I know that have 6.5 creeds very good shooting rigs but neither of them reload even though I try my best to bring them to the dark side. Now I have nothing against the chambering at all it makes sense especially to a re-loader but am tempted to take an old Savage action and barrel it for 30-30 just to prove a point....
