A guy I used to shoot high power with shortened 6.5-08 by .080 (before the .260 R) so he could get better use of 142 Sierra's for 300yd rapid. I thought it was a great idea and chambered a new Krieger holding my 6.5-08 reamer short. Worked great, lost very little at 600yd and gained a great deal for the 300 rapids. Dennis DeMille was shooting in NC at the same time, I always wondered if he got the idea for the 6.5 CM from us?
