Honestly there are a-holes that will be insulting no matter whether they use their name or a handle, and folks with handles that are polite as can be.
I use my first name and last initial on most forums I post to, but I'd just gotten a 458 Lott when I started here, so decided to use a handle.
I've met a few folks here face to face, and have visited quite a bit with some of them. They are just as opinionated in person as on the net.
What I find more amusing is how wound up and p/o'd folks get about anonymose posts on the net. It's like my kids, when they see one of their siblings getting upset about something, they needle them to no end.
