If my a$$ was the only one on the line, posting my name on the forums I visit would not be a big problem. That is not the case for me however, as I have young daughters and a wife that happen to live at the same residence as myself. If some freak brought harm by finding my residence through my name on a forum, then I would be to blame.
I will give my first name in a PM, as a courtesy, but until I meet someone face to face, my last name remains on a need to know basis.
