I met Bernie Sanders once at a diner in Burlington Vt. I got up and left.
I passed him on Church St. once, same time frame. I have always thought that I missed my chance to punch him in the nose. So sad, what happened to VT.
Lots of us thought the same thing about him. Ironically he bought a vacation lake property in my town which is on an Island in Lake Champlain. Luckily he doesn't spend much time here and I never ran into him.
