MANY people here won't have a clue as to who he is but I'd bet that you remember (at that time COL Donlon was a very junior Major.) COL Roger Donlon, late of the USA Special Forces, hero of the bloody battle at Camp Nam Dong, RVN & holder of the Medal of Honor.
On request of the Commandant of the USAIS at Ft Benning, I was assigned to take him out to lunch. - I was THRILLED & considered it an honor.

Yes I certainly do. I knew a lot of heavy duty guys; you would get chills reading their actual citations or justifications for the awards! Joe Dunford was a Captain back then.
