I asked the Major where he wished to eat & he said, "I don't suppose that the old Streamliner Diner is still open?"

"I said, "Indeed it is. I ate breakfast last week there."

He said, "I want one of those 'saddle-blanket steaks', if they still fix them, with fried potatoes."
(The Streamliner sold a steak that they called a "saddle-blanket" & that "hung off all around" the large platter.)

After lunch, the Major said, "I feel at home now, as I remember those steaks being just the same in 1964."
