I'm not saying the guy was innocent, but he deserved his day in court. Not a Blue Murder. And every cop there was OK with that.

Is that the question you ask when the owner of a drug store dies of a heart attack while being beat down by the bad guy. He died. That is murder.
With a half dozen other cops standing around, can anybody explain why they did not drag his ass out, taser if necessary, and treat him like a they are trained too?
The jury for this cop ain't going to get two days curer pay.
