There are certain situations where the top of the line glass is warranted. If your going Western Extreme LR with a .338Lapua I can understand $2k for a scope. Most places and most people don't travel that path.
Still I don't concern myself much with how others want to spend there money. We all should use what we have found to work for us and and what we feel is needed for how we hunt and shoot.
I'm sure most of the $2k scopes are great and have their place. For me I don't want to carry them around and Leupolds certainly have proven itself for my use.
However pissing in others coffee about what they use seems to be a campfire trait.
