I think the majority of the leupold crowd are primarily hunters. The intricacies and requirements of BR or custom built LR hunting rifles are a little more than they are accustomed to. That certainly is the case with me. The majority of their hunting is essentially paste and shoot at 300yd and usually under. For this Leupold is hard to beat.
Perhaps sometimes both sides fail to see the different horses for different courses analogy.
