as for scopes you can pick up a Ziess Conquest 3-9x40 Matte finish for about 375.00 - becuz they are Cheap...
I have been on a few outdoor boards,but I aint never ran across one that had a Leupold Haters Section..this is all pretty funny.
The 3-9 Conquest is hardly "cheap". To ME, it's "best of class" in the sub-$500 category.
I personally am not a Leup hater. I own 5 of them right now. The 2.5-8 is a heckuva hunting scope, for instance. And they are a great company. With that said, my last 5 or so scope purchases has been Conquests. They are just better at the price point in visual and measurable ways.
Look at it this way. Leup has responded to the criticisms of their product, on forums like this, by actually fixing them (one hopes) with the new VX3's. That's a free market in action right there!
