From my recent forays in scope shopping, it was obvious to me, and it should be plainly obvious to anyone else that has shopped and compared scopes the last couple years, that when comparing any of the Leupold scopes to other brands with equal optical quality, Leupolds are higher priced per scope compared to most other major optics makers.
It would be most reasonable to assume this would be due to paying higher US production wages, and to cover the cost of their more than liberal return/repair policy compared to others brands.
This should be nothing for anyone to get their feelers hurt over, it's just the price you pay for US made optics and great customer service. My.o2.
