I'm just saying, that amazing Leup warranty, which I've used a few times myself (in fact I have one at Leupold right now getting fixed) comes at a price, and I bet it's not insignificant.
Put another way... if I had a choice between a 3.5-10 Leup with CDS turret and a 10-year warranty for $400... or the same exact scope for $500 with the full meal deal warranty, I'd probably go with the $400 version! And I bet that's about right. I bet there's $100 of "warranty" that we all pay for every time we buy a Leup scope.
