Weaver scopes have been manufactured in Japan for over 20 years and Redfield was Asian to between Denver/Leupold.
Yeah - I know - thats was my whole point - Winchester,Weaver,Redfield and the like all were sold here -but made with foriegn parts...they had to do that to stay afloat..but in the end it did not matter.
