Nobody is denying the horrific working conditions, child labor and other atrocities companies put immigrants through especially in Chicago and other industrial states before laws were changed but we didn't suffer a war over it and loose a generation of men because of it. The only revisionist history is the idea that the civil war was only about states rights. The actualities of the secession is ignored in favor of half truths and outright lies of the "lost cause" and "war of Northern Aggression". American history is pretty full of bad stuff but not nearly so much as European History. We're suffering one of the most horrific times in our history because of a stolen election and citizen apathy. It could very easily turn into another civil war and I'm sure the administration is counting on it.
