Remember when every night there was a "grim total" or "grim milestone" with some big digit, and now that's all stopped? Getting sick with a bad Commie Flu skunks, but it's not getting intubated and dying unready any more. I think there's a certain herd immunity now. Untold thousands, perhaps untold millions such as myself, were infected, felt nothing, had an excellent immune response to the virus, whatever the variant, and are absolutely in the clear except the possibility of a few days of Commie Crud from here on out. But it seems to me the mortal threat is near an end. To our bodies. To our liberties? Jury is still out on that one.
