I do a combination of kettlebell and barbell work. Kettlebells offer a great mix of strength, power and conditioning. Over the year I cycle between strength oriented programs and muscle growth programs, both combine kettlebell and barbell. I’m 53 and tend to be small and lean so I have to concentrate on muscle for longevity. Easy to lose lean muscle mass as we age and accelerate frailty. Then closer to sheep season I tune up my conditioning.
Yesterday morning I did a workout, then in the afternoon I was able to go snowshoeing for a couple hours.
