The same can be said for all of ancient history. There are no original memoirs, no original literary works, and no original histories from all of ancient history. You’ll never find a papyrus original written by Caesar, or Aristotle, or Socrates, or Alexander the Great, or Pythagoras…or any of their contemporaries or eyewitnesses…it is all “copies, of copies, of copies…”.

Yes, we have good reasons to doubt many of the narratives in ancient history, which in no way helps your cause.
