Never claimed to be. Did my eight and went on to bigger and better things. Eight years as a PJ plus another nineteen on the other side carrying an M4 Colt might qualify as knowing how to operate one and having carried one. Which is what the question was. More so than what a drunken timber ape can put up for experience.
Believe what you want. I may chit on Larry and continue to do so. I have good friends who are and were US Army Infantry. Larry ain't. Never could ,never will. He's a POS on multiple levels. I have respect for those who have and continue to serve and zero for Larry, Big Stick, Boxer or Tryme. I'll leave it at that.
