I don't know. He was an O-6 pilot.Training missions and flight simulator time. It was a small unit with quite a mixed crowd. Anyone describes training missions (if you can call training sorties missions) as "flying into the jaws of death" is a couple bubbles off. The real guys (one from AC-130 gunships, one chopper pilot from Vietnam, etc. really gave him hell) as I did. I was the senior enlisted guy and I'm pretty sure he despised me as I would call him on his dumb remarks...like at staff meetings. World-class narcissist.
