Thank-you, but I don't want to blow smoke. I own the rack, but I did not take the deer. That deer was shot in 1953 near Ft. Robinson, Nebraska by a gentleman named Leonard Lancaster and still has the fish and game tag with the date. As a side note 1953 was the "first regulated" rifle season in the state. When I was a kid Lenny and his wife lived about a block away from us.

He was a hunter and had some of his racks in his garage including this one pictured. Years later after I was married I heard Lenny and his wife were going to assisted living and that they were having a sale. I had my mom go talk to him and long story short he gave me the rack. He told my mom that he was impressed I remembered the rack and since he had no sons he thought it was great that I wanted it. Since I've owned the rack I tell Lenny's story every time I show it off.
