Found this tree on Halloween one year, so I called it "Spooky Tree". It's the biggest Ponderosa Pine I am aware of. It's burned on top so I believe it was hit by lightning and it blew the tops off of it. Some of the "branches" laying on the ground are 18" and larger.

They logged this but had to leave these two huge old Doug Firs.

Closer in. The leaning one blew down maybe 5 years back in a microburst windstorm.

Girls called this a "Battle Toad" as he was running across a frozen puddle just before this photo!
