Anyone that’s spent any time hunting bears has done the same thing. Nothing tougher to judge than a bear. That one has great color and a good hide. Nothing to be embarrassed about. I’ll bet he was tasty too.
"Embarrassing" may not have been the best word to use. "Laughingly" may be better. He didn't have a rub on him but you'd need to ask the crows what he tasted like.
