This passage is the basis for my belief that Jesus did not found his “church” on Peter, or on Peter’s affirmation of faith. Instead it is founded on the Holy Spirits ability to reveal Jesus as the Christ to every honest seeker after God, with no need for a human intermediary.

So..... am I saying the Roman Catholics AND the Protestants both got it wrong?
