I just thought I'd head you guys off at the pass because I knew it was coming.

Both of my muzzle loaders have them. They were the first scopes I ever had and wasn't sure about scopes and wanted to keep my options open. I had a guy tell me at a gun shop one time that it was a huge mistake, but I'm still not sure why. Everyone on the Fire seems to hate them, but I've never had a problem. Matter of fact, I've had to use the open sights a couple of times when the scope got fogged up in the rain and snow.
