Well I got the next to last seat on my plane flight from San Antonio to Chicago and then on to Mpls. This made the trip back exciting since I had purchased the ticket 6 weeks ago and had checked in at the airport three hours before my flight time. The only reason I was able to board the over-sold plane was that United Airlines offered $100, the $300 and then $500 travel vouchers to those willing to surrender their tickets. Five people took them up on their offer. Arriving in Minneapolis was also a surprise - I left the warmth (and rain) of Texas for 6 inches of falling snow in Minnesota.
