How much should I expect to tip?

All tips are just that, a tip, and should only be left if you are completely satisfied with the service our staff performed for you. The suggested tip for your guide is 20% of your hunt, but again this is totally up to you. We prefer for hunters to tip their guide directly. The tip for the staff (kitchen, hostesses and housekeeping) of $60 per hunter will be collected in the office at check out time. If you have any suggestions, compliments or complaints, please do so at check out time, as we are always seeking suggestions for improvements to our operation!

What should I bring?

We have a skeet range and provide clay targets, so you can bring your shot gun. We also have a shooting range. We have ponds stocked with catfish (catch/release program) and provide limited fishing gear, but you are welcome to bring your own. Do not forget a jacket, hunting weapon, ammo, binoculars, eye protection, ear protection, insect repellent & sunscreen. If you are a bow or pistol hunter please bring cover up scent to eliminate any odor for close range encounters.

What to expect on my hunt?

Hog hunts are 1-guide to 4- hunters and are performed from blinds (ground and elevated) overlooking feeders with some having LED night lights. Your guide will drop you off at your blind and pick you back up twice a day, morning & evening. The average shooting distance is 100 to 150 yards. The hogs we hunt range anywhere from 30 to 300 pounds, however the average hog harvested weighs between 100 to 150 pounds. Our hog hunts allow you to harvest up to 3 hogs up to 150 lbs each. Additional hogs up to 150 lbs can be taken at an additional $100 each. Trophy hogs 151 lbs to 199 lbs are an additional $200 each. Trophy hogs 200 lbs plus are an additional $300 each. We suggest using a .243 rifle or larger with some sort of illuminated cross hair because most of the hogs are harvested in low light conditions.

Exotic hunters will have guides with them while hunting to help identify species and to aid in judging trophy quality of your desired species.

We offer Rifle, Crossbow, bow, muzzle loader and hand gun hunts. All hunters will be required to shoot their weapons at our range before the hunt can begin. Please let us know if you are an archer or pistol hunter so we can have our bow blinds ready for you at least two weeks in advance of your hunt.

What should I wear?

We recommend camouflage. You should wear snake leggings during the spring and summer because though there is very little walking this is a good precaution when stalking or tracking.

Please check our weather link which is located on the home page of our website to help you with what type of clothing to bring.
