If I can, yes. You can't always however. Some of them have pretty conventional throats, and some are really long. The .30-40 is really long, probably because some of the old factory loads had 220gr bullets. My .270 #1 has a conventional throat, and is superbly accurate.

These are .475 Turnbulls. That's a 500gr Woodleigh on the right, and it's not close to the Ruger's lands. They're still extremely accurate. smile
