I think Thomas Jefferson was right to try to ferret out the actual teachings of Jesus and combine them into his Jefferson Bible.
Jefferson basically threw the miracle claims
in the bin and remained a Deist.
Some may be surprised How many Founding Fathers
were Deist, not Theist —A philosophy where human
reason rather than reliance on an interventional god
as a means of solving problems.
