My dad hunted with a 7mm Remington Magnum exclusively for 35 years. He was laughing with me the other day remembering that when he bought it everyone tried to talk him out of it. Lack of ammunition availability was the reason. But he has hand loaded for it since day 1. He killed the gamut with it.
I’m 43 and haven’t hunted as much as him with it, I like to cartridge experiment too much. However, I have done a bunch of hunting with it and currently with the 7mm Mashburn. I will likely wear it’s current barrel out before hunting with much else.
