When in my early 20s I taught tennis. In my late 20s and 30s I was a scratch golfer and gave lessons at our county course. Twenty years ago I was still a 7 handicap. I wasn't always in my 70s, 40 pounds overweight, and twice broken.
These "golden years" are a fraud. They're brass and tarnished.
