Something weird though. The first reporting caller said "there is someone unconscious on the floor" Strange considering the amount of blood unless the caller was totally traumatized by the scene...from what I've heard of the crime scene, you would think the caller would be hysterical and find it hard to even get the words out.
I can easily see a situation where the surviving female roommate got a peek of the situation and in an instant turned and made a retreat without getting a good view. No way she is going to start searching the house and investigating. The first thought could have easily been that there is a clear and present danger.
