Named after Moscow, PA, not Russia. The postmaster thought the area looked like Moscow, PA and filed for a name change. The original village name was Hog Heaven which was short lived. It was then Paradise Valley for a few years. It got changed again to Moscow before statehood. For the record, the one in Russia is pronounced Moss cow. Idaho's is Moss coe.
