If it's Jack Showalter, he'll never be arrested. With a Jew name like that he's sure to have a dozen lawyers in the family. They'd better just turn some jaywalking transient into a sacrificial lamb, throw the book at him and be done with it.
You are full of it. That name was quite prevalent in the area of my birth/youth, and none of those who wore it were Jewish. I have known some Jewish folks who had the same or similar surname, but in a minority of instances. It is a name having originated in Austria/Germany and having spread to Switzerland, Central England, etc. - then later many in PA and OH in the US. Why not make a post on something you know?
