Putin isn't perfect, far from it. But he is doing his best to take care of his country which is more than our president is doing. We know Ukraine is a nasty corrupt country. We know NATO exists to oppose Russia. What we don't know due to censorship is the truth about what is going on over there. I would suspect there were serious moves by NATO using Ukraine as cover to destabilize Russia for the purposes of the central bankers or what is commonly called The New World Order. I don't idolize Putin or Russia but I believe it is being governed by a better man than our country is, and no worse of a system. Whether you have noticed or not we are bankrupt and no longer have a true representative republic.

Why would you favor Ukraine is a good question? You do understand that it has been utilized by our politicians to receive foreign aid and then funnel a large portion of it into private accounts of U.S. and Ukrainian politicians don't you? Most assuredly to European politicians also. This would be by itself huge incentive to try to keep Ukraine from Russian conquest. If Russia got ahold of the financial records there would be a heck of a lot of explaining to do.

I don't plan to move to another country. I have a wife, three children, and 5 grandchildren that wouldn't go (yet).

Main reason why Ukraine struggles with corruption?
Because Russia is their next door neighbor!

Every single country that was forced into the USSR, have desperately tried to get into NATO and EU, so they won't ever be slaves for Moscovites again.
The first thing most did after the USSR crumbled, was join NATO!
Ukraine has tried as well... but to much corruption from Russia has halted it for years..

When Ukraine found Oil and Gas in Donbas and offshore off Crimea, that could effectively remove Russia as EU main supplier. Putin invaded so their main source of revenue would not be cut of. Putin is a Dictator... he does what benefits him.
Living standards for average Russians has not increased since he and his fellow former KGB officers stole most of Russia productive assets!
