And in fact, the sum to replace destroyed infrastructure is probably going to be much less because many places with infrastructure damage now is part of Russia.

The West hasn't acknowledged it yet. But that's the reality of the situation. Formerly southeast Ukraine and Crimea is now Russia. Japan isn't going to pay to repair destroyed infrastructure in Russia.

Poland is also going to end up with a chunk of northwest Ukraine and will undoubtedly pick up the cost of fixing it back up.

Japan knows this.

$5.5 billion ain’t nothing to sneeze at no matter how you tend to frame things. Quadrupling their former contributions is no small thing either.

I’ve yet to see anything you’ve put forth here that has happened that you were and are right about.
