Using the wrong boolits in a 45-70 has lost me several deer.
Wounding deer and blaming it on the bullets.....
Maybe, just maybe, you should work on shot placement some?
I don't have trouble with "placement." As close as I figure I have 168 deer with revolvers. Add in all else from archery, flint locks, shotguns and rifles, I am near 570 deer. Orchard and farm control with anything I could shoot. I have around 220 archery kills alone. So now you are telling me how to shoot. Strange bunch!
