Using the wrong boolits in a 45-70 has lost me several deer.
Wounding deer and blaming it on the bullets.....
Maybe, just maybe, you should work on shot placement some?
I don't have trouble with "placement." As close as I figure I have 168 deer with revolvers. Add in all else from archery, flint locks, shotguns and rifles, I am near 570 deer. Orchard and farm control with anything I could shoot. I have around 220 archery kills alone. So now you are telling me how to shoot. Strange bunch!

Nothing he stated indicates he has recovered any, therefore it's concievable that he had lost them all, thus giving him logic to blame the bullet
