As is almost always the case,once again I'm late to the table with repect to this thread. But I did want to say something about the 6.5 Creedmoor. I now own four factory rifles so chambered,and here's the thing. All four shot less than moa with the first factory load tried in them. All shoot close to half moa with their favorite factory load.
I have a Kimber Hunter and a Savage Lightweight in the mix. Both are well under six pounds bare. Both shoot really well.
I have a Browning Hells Canyon sporter and a Cristensen Arms rifle too. Again both are relatively light sporters and these two are sub half moa if I do my part. With factory ammo.
So the Creedmoor gives us half moa factory rifles and ammo. Nothing else has ever done this before in my experience.
