I enjoy gathering the parts for parts guns, otherwise I wouldn't have around 100 loose barrels, 100 loose stocks, and a dozen of so donor actions taking up space.
Back in 2007 the local Wal-Marts were closing out 700 ADL Youth rifles in 243 for between $300 and $350, so I bought a dozen of so for donors to build on. I couldn't give the stocks and barrels away, so I ended up throwing the stocks in the landfill and the barrels went into a friend's scrap bin. It seemed like a waste, but I wasn't going to use them and nobody seemed to want them for the cost of shipping them.
